Adopted Equine

Stormy, a miniature horse, had quite a rough life before arriving at AES on July 3, 2008.  Blind in his right eye, Stormy needed a special home, which he now has.  Stormy now lives at Breaking Dawn Farm in Yadkinville, NC.

My Exclusive Shadow has back problems which forced an early retirement from the AQHA show ring.  Shadow has been adopted and now lives as a companion horse at Hidden Lake Farm in Albemarle NC.

Buddy, a 2 year old grade (mixed breed) horse, had been starved and abused in his first home.  His second owner was able to give Buddy the food he needed to regain his weight but could not deal with Buddy’s behavioral issues.  Buddy has now been placed with a professional trainer who will give Buddy the loving care and proper training he needs in order to be a good horse.

Negrito is a paso fino horse that came into our care April 2008.  At age 2 he was abandoned by his former owner, was underweight, had overgrown hooves and had a terrible wound on his hind leg.  The wound, caused by fence wire, had become infected and the infection had spread into the bone. After a year of medical treatment he was finally ready for training.  Adopted and renamed last year, he has a loving and great home. This picture shows him healthy and happy in his new home
